Sulfate Resistant PortLand Cement (SRC)

SULFATE RESISTANT PORTLAND CEMENT

SRC is used where sulfate salts are present on the soil or in saline water. This cement has the potential to resist the destructive attack of sulfates, especially in the foundations or the areas mostly subjected to sulfate attack.

SRC is designed to overcome the problem of sulfate attack by reducing its C3A content. SRC is a specially blended cement designed to improve the performance of concrete in a sulfate environment and help improve durability.

SRC is highly suitable for concrete structures subject to sulfate-rich environments. This is highly suitable where sulfates present in the soil, groundwater, seawater, etc. are in concentrations that would damage concrete made with normal Portland cement.
