Oil Well Cement (OWC)

OIL WELL CEMENT, CLASS G, HSR GRADE

Oil Well Cement is based upon low CA (Tricalcium Eliminate) content, which has a bearing on the durability of the cement under sulfate attacks.

Oil well Cement must be carefully designed to meet demanding requirements such as predictable thickening time, high sulfate resistance, high durability, consistency, compressive strength and low free fluid.

Oil Well Cement is specified for deeper, hotter and higher pressure well conditions.

Oil well cement are used for cementing work in the drilling of oil wells where they are subject to high temperatures and pressures. They usually consist of portland or pozzolanic cement with special organic retarders to prevent the cement from setting too quickly.

Oil well cement is a type of hydraulic cement that has a slow setting rate under high temperatures obtained in oil wells; uses include support of tubing and bypassing of unwanted zones.
